Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Chris Palmer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 22 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aaron Archer!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Joseph Jones and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Archer throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Archer displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Palmer throws out the jab.
Good work by Archer as he checks the leg kick.
Archer misses with a takedown attempt - Palmer sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Archer wants to clinch.
Archer gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Palmer.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Archer tries to clinch up but Palmer circles away and keeps his distance.

Palmer takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Palmer needs to keep his hands up - Archer had a free shot at his head there.
Palmer thows a leg kick but Archer checks it
and Archer connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Archer connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Palmer's hands.

Palmer looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Archer throws a leg kick which misses Palmer's front leg but catches the back leg as Palmer tries to avoid it.
Archer shoots in but Palmer avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Archer scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Palmer throws a sloppy head kick and Archer moves out of range easily.
A clash of legs there as Archer blocks the low kick.
Palmer moves out of range of the strikes.
Palmer fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Archer on the side of the head.
Palmer lands with an overhand left.
Palmer lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Nice body kick from Palmer.
Archer's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Archer duly obliges.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Palmer feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Archer's calf.

Palmer tests Archer's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Palmer gets a double leg takedown into Archer's guard.
Archer preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Palmer throws a big right hand that misses.

Palmer is working Archer over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Archer working for a triangle but Palmer defends it easily.

Archer is looking for a triangle but Palmer pushes his legs off easily.
Palmer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Archer swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Archer is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Archer content to control rather than advance.
Palmer manages to get to full guard.
Palmer is trying to control the position but Archer postures up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Archer pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Palmer is keeping the position for now.
Palmer pulls Archer in close to his closed guard and prevents Archer from doing any damage or advancing position.

Palmer is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Archer is aware though and is defending well.

Archer not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Palmer wants to sweep here but Archer controlling him for the moment.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Chris Palmer will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Archer throws a leg kick but Palmer sees it coming and moves out of range.
Palmer changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Archer lands a body shot.

Archer is trying to control Palmer's posture but Palmer avoids it.
Palmer throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Archer is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Palmer's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Palmer is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Palmer prevents Archer from improving his position.

Archer tries to hold on but Palmer pushes him away.
Palmer has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Archer's face.
Palmer connects with a couple of good shots from mount.


Archer is rocked!
Archer tries to lock up and control but Palmer gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Archer is still in real trouble! Can Palmer finish him?
Archer really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
A big strike lands for Palmer! That's really hurt Archer and he's turned his back - Palmer keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Palmer jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chris Palmer!
Chris Palmer decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
