Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 35 - 62 - 1, fighting out of New York, Brij Khali!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Jones!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Chad Campbell and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones looking to score a takedown here. Khali is defending well but Jones drives through and ends up in Khali's guard.
Khali keeping full guard, as Jones tries to pass.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Khali looking to control but Jones passes into half guard.

Jones is working for a submission of some sort.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones passes to full mount!
Jones has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Death Valley Training Facility. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Jones is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Khali has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Jones throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Khali sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Jones trying to pass the guard but Khali defending well.
Khali trying to control but Jones postures up.
Khali wants to get back to his feet.

Jones is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Jones is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Khali still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Khali has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
Khali tries to move to mount but Jones blocks the move with his legs.
Jones tries to improve position but can't.
Jones is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jones looks like he's trying to stand up.

Jones is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Khali pulls his head out easily.
The fighters are battling for position here. Jones manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Jones is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Khali frees his head nicely. Oh but Jones has switched to an armbar! Khali is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Armbar). Jack Jones!
Jack Jones seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
The defeated Brij Khali had this to say: 'Dissapointed to Lose'.
