Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Papa Shango (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cholo Van Gaal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Gaal misses with a hook. Shango ducked under it nicely.
Van Gaal jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Van Gaal scores with a shot to the body.
Shango takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Van Gaal looks to land a right hand but Shango moved out of range.
Van Gaal ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Van Gaal fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Van Gaal throws a leg kick that is checked
and Shango counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Van Gaal kicks off Shango and gets to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Shango drops his hands momentarily and Van Gaal takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Shango staying out of range there.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Van Gaal lands a big uppercut and Shango crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Shango looks OK. Van Gaal waves Shango back to his feet!
Shango is rocked!
Van Gaal lands with a massive overhand right! Stick a fork in Shango - he's out cold! Ermm... I think I just mixed my metaphors but yeah... That was a nice KO! Big win for Van Gaal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Cholo Van Gaal! Cholo Van Gaal retains his lightweight title!
After winning the bout, Cholo Van Gaal thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
