And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Daniel Cesar and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kung is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Kung tries to clinch up but Richards circles away and keeps his distance.
Richards fails with a takedown attempt.
Kung displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Richards.
Kung tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Richards tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Kung manages to circle out of the way.
Richards is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kung sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ricardo Richards. That's going to take a lot out of him.
An inside leg kick from Richards misses.
Richards darts in looking for a takedown but Kung gets double underhooks and turns Richards into the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kung drives through and clinches with Richards against the cage.
Kung tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Richards's elbow.
Richards could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Kung tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Kung pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Kung misses with a hook from the clinch.

Richards successfully pulls guard.
Richards looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kung is one step ahead there.
Richards utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Kung distracts Richards with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Richards controls Kung momentarily but Kung frees himself.
Kung stopping the sweep attempt from Richards.
Richards on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Richards tries to get out of the position.
Kung throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Richards works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Kung works over Richards with some ground and pound from guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Richards has momentary wrist control but Kung slips an elbow through the middle.
Kung missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Kung is working Richards over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Kung avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Oh Richards is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kung makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kung distracts Richards with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Kung advances position into side control!
Kung lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Richards down.
Kung lands a big left to the face of Richards, bouncing his head like a basketball. Another shot from Kung and another - Richards is out! Kung stands up and salutes his fans, who are going crazy in the stands.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Wo Kung!
