The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gumption misses with a kick to the body.

and Oliveira counters with a shoot takedown. Gumption fights it but they end up in guard.
Oliveira content to stall in guard here.

Oliveira thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Gumption looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Oliveira stays in close to Gumption's body and controls the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
