Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Quentin DeBramalo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 14 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roger Cantor!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paul Aken and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cantor closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into DeBramalo's guard.
Cantor trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
DeBramalo looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Cantor engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Cantor is in close to DeBramalo's body, working some short punches and elbows.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cantor on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

and Cantor counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

DeBramalo lands a head kick!
DeBramalo defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Cantor.

Cantor tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but DeBramalo was well out of range. Poor timing from Cantor.
Roger Cantor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
DeBramalo slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
DeBramalo with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Cantor to score with a decent uppercut.
Cantor shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
DeBramalo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Cantor throws a strike but DeBramalo rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

DeBramalo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cantor has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, DeBramalo has managed to get both his arms back between Cantor's legs - danger averted.

DeBramalo lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Cantor is trying to control but can't.
Cantor might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control DeBramalo haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
DeBramalo seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cantor does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and DeBramalo counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

DeBramalo appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
DeBramalo stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

That's time! DeBramalo's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Cantor feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Cantor is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute DeBramalo jumps into side control!

Cantor has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Cantor manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. DeBramalo manages to get himself to full guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as DeBramalo holds on and takes a little breather.
DeBramalo wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Cantor is now in half guard.

DeBramalo is looking to control Cantor's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can DeBramalo avoid being mounted?

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Cantor in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Cantor has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Cantor thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.

Roger Cantor comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Cantor has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
