PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brett Hartlock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Surfer Dude (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hartlock comes to the ring accompanied by Shoot To Thrill by AC/DC. Dude has chosen The Trashmen - Surfin' Bird as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. On his way into the ring it seems that Brett Hartlock has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Brett Hartlock seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dude feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Hartlock's calf.
Dude swinging wildly here.
Hartlock throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Dude takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
A swing and a miss from Hartlock.
Hartlock throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Hartlock tries to roll over but Dude keeps him under control.

Hartlock is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Brett Hartlock decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
