Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Derick Rose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johny Persecutioned (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Persecutioned looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

It seemed like Persecutioned was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Rose tries to score a power double leg takedown but Persecutioned sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rose somewhat.

As Persecutioned tries to get set, Rose tries to push him back and clinch up but Persecutioned manages to avoid the attempt.

Rose closes the distance and clinches up with Persecutioned, looking for a takedown. Rose pushes Persecutioned against the ropes but Persecutioned circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Rose moves forwards but Persecutioned connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Persecutioned manages to break the clinch.
Persecutioned throws a right and a left that Rose avoids nicely.

Rose changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Persecutioned tries to avoid it but Rose manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Persecutioned to the ground. Persecutioned escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Rose throws a hook to the side of Persecutioned's head but Persecutioned sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rose has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Persecutioned finds it's way round the side to connect with Rose's head.
