Smith kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Sam and Dave - Hold On I'm Coming. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Smith.
Lee V unleashes a big counter combination but Smith bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
A thudding body kick lands there by Lee V!
Smith misses with an uppercut. Lee V saw that one coming.
Smith looks to throw the jab but Lee V is out of range.

Smith misses with a hook to the ribs.
Lee V tries to throw a body punch but Smith avoids it by throwing Lee V back against the cage.
Smith definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Smith's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Lee V feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Smith's calf.

Smith pivots, looking for a leg kick but Lee V is out of range and Smith settles back down.

Smith throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Lee V throws a push kick but Smith slaps the foot to one side.
Lee V uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Smith.
Lee V lands with a kick to the temple. Smith shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

It looks like Billy Smith has been cut.
A slow jab from Lee V misses its intended target.
Lee V thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Smith if he has to take too many more of those.
Smith shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Smith throws a shot from downtown. Lee V moves away and avoids it.

Smith steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Lee V. That one must have hurt.

Lee V takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lee V fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Smith on the side of the head.
Smith ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lee V moves away.

Lee V uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Smith.
Smith punishes Lee V's body with a nice straight punch.
Smith throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Smith dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Smith fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lee V manages to avoid it.

and Lee V connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Lee V avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

and Smith counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Smith fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Lee V checks it well.

Some bone on bone action there as Lee V checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
