The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawk misses with a jab, cross combination.
Hawk throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Mike scores with a takedown into Hawk's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Hawk looking for a guillotine here but Mike defends easily.
Mike postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hawk looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Mike passes Hawk's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Hawk is refusing to be controlled, as Mike sits in half guard.

Hawk avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Mike.
Mike is thwarting Hawk's attempts to control the position.
Mike trying to control the pace.
Mike is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Hawk!
Mike tries to control but Hawk wriggling away.
Mike tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hawk wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Mike thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
Hawk covers up after that shot from Mike.
Hawk really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mike. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Mike working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Hawk is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Mike has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Hawk taps out!
