And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nate Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paul Aken and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz slips under a jab.
Diaz shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Cook as he avoids it easily.
Cook swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Diaz forces Cook back against the cage and clinches.
Cook has Diaz pushed against the cage.
Diaz looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Cook pushes off an throws an elbow but Diaz leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Cook just misses with a elbow thrown towards Diaz's brow.
Diaz is looking to break free of the clinch but Cook has double underhooks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cook pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Cook effectively controlling the action here.
Diaz avoids the elbow strike from Cook, against the cage.
Diaz takes an elbow to the forehead.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cook is pushing Diaz up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Cook content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Cook throws an elbow that misses.
Diaz goes for a takedown attempt but Cook pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Diaz scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Diaz advances to full mount.
Diaz tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Diaz connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Cook is trying to escape the mount.
Cook has given up his back here.
