The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donk. Boes catches Creed right on the button with a cross.
Boes slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Creed has closed the distance and engaged Boes in a clinch.
Creed blocking some punches.
Creed tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Boes misses with the head strike.
Creed scores with a hook to the body.
Creed lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Boes backwards.

Creed escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Boes checks a leg kick.

and Creed counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Allen Boes has been cut.
Creed ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Creed feints a jab promting Boes to slip. Creed then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Boes slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Creed, as that shot connected.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Creed looks to land a body kick but Boes moved away.
Boes misses with a straight left.

We've been told by Boes's head coaches at Savage Empire that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Boes appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Creed punishes Boes's body with a nice straight punch.

A slapping leg kick lands for Creed.
Nice defenses there by Creed.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Creed, right into the meat.
Creed moves out of range of the strikes.
Boes ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Creed moves away.

Creed lands a big right hand that sends Boes crashing to the mat! Creed stays standing though and waves Boes back to his feet!

A chopping leg kick lands by Creed.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Creed dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Boes. That did some damage!
Creed instigates a clinch.
Creed tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Boes's elbow.
Creed tries to throw a body punch but Boes avoids it by throwing Creed back against the cage.

Creed creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Boes's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Boes drops to his knees and Creed pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Apollo Creed!
During a confident post fight interview, Apollo Creed thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
