And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Alfredo Barum!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Peter Branson and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barum is looking to clinch but Ray Ray is avoiding it.
Alfredo Barum seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Barum scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Barum thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ray Ray's head.
Barum not doing much here.
Ray Ray on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ray Ray tries to get out of the position.
Ray Ray avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Barum.
Barum tries to stand but can't do so whilst Ray Ray controls his leg.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Barum seems to be working for a kimura but Ray Ray defends the submission attempt.
Ray Ray wants to control but Barum is keeping busy.

Barum is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Barum is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Ray Ray has managed to free his arm - good work.
Barum tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Ray Ray.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Barum keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Barum frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Barum jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Ray Ray is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Ray Ray and Barum has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Barum fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Ray Ray wants to control but Barum postures up.
Barum tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Ray Ray is trying to control Barum's posture but Barum avoids it.
Barum staying calm.
Ray Ray tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Ray Ray is looking to get to half guard.
Barum tries to control but Ray Ray wriggling away.
Barum controlling from mount.
Barum throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Barum takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Ray Ray keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Barum moves in looking to clinch but Ray Ray pushes him off.
Barum fails with a takedown attempt.

Johnny Ray Ray is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Ray Ray stuffs the takedown.
Johnny Ray Ray has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alfredo Barum.

Ray Ray has managed to clinch.

Ray Ray ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Ray Ray no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Barum tries to stand but Ray Ray is controlling from the bottom.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Barum has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ray Ray is proving hard to escape from.

Alfredo Barum has got the better of the ground game so far.

Barum has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Ray Ray doesn't defend quickly enough and Barum has managed to lock this one up! Can Ray Ray escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Barum on a fantastic submission victory.
