Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Omar Dijkstra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randall Flagg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dijkstra's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Soulfly - Back To The Primitive. This should be fireworks!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Randall Flagg!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dijkstra uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Flagg.
Flagg lands a lovely overhand right.
Dijkstra uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Flagg.
Dijkstra attempts a counter takedown but Flagg avoids it well and moves away.
Dijkstra scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Flagg moves into the clinch successfully.
Flagg struggles to land a body shot inside as Dijkstra controls his hands.
Dijkstra has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Dijkstra working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Flagg doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Flagg manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dijkstra is on top in guard.

Dijkstra drops back, looking for a kneebar! Flagg looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Flagg looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Flagg!

Flagg lands a nice hook to Dijkstra's body. Dijkstra takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Flagg missing with a left hand there. Dijkstra was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Dijkstra shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Flagg clinches up with Dijkstra and pushes him back against the cage.
Flagg lands a hook that snaps the head of Dijkstra backwards.
I was talking to Dijkstra's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Flagg avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Dijkstra has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Flagg can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Flagg comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Dijkstra moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Flagg gets caught flat footed, as Dijkstra shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
