Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Murad Efendi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Heimdall Ragnarson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Murad Efendi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Heimdall Ragnarson!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Radbod Blank and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Efendi with a nice cross.

Efendi gets tackled into the cage by Ragnarson. Ragnarson maintains the clinch.

and Ragnarson counters by moving into the clinch.

Efendi is looking to work some ground and pound but Ragnarson has wrist control.
Efendi lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
We've been informed that Ragnarson has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Ragnarson has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Efendi is on him like a limpet, forcing Ragnarson back against the cage.

Efendi lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Efendi wants to control from the top but Ragnarson keeps moving.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Ragnarson takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Ragnarson ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Ragnarson no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Efendi gets to his feet. Ragnarson looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Ragnarson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Efendi manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Efendi stuffs the takedown.

Efendi shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Efendi showed some decent athleticism there.
Ragnarson tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Efendi manages to move to mount!
Efendi will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Efendi holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Efendi is trying to push Ragnarson away but Ragnarson has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Ragnarson darts in looking for a takedown but Efendi gets double underhooks and turns Ragnarson into the cage.

Efendi feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
