PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Malcolm XsX (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Malcolm XsX!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Brandon Lee!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Anni Minnemäki and Ben Zyskovitsi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
XsX on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Lee moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Lee pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces XsX back to the cage. Lee follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

It looks like Malcolm XsX has been cut.
XsX has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Lee finds it's way round the side to connect with XsX's head.
XsX walks into a straight right hand from Lee.
Lee lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Lee misses the shot to the body.
Lee scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A jab lands there for Lee.
Lee misses with a jab, cross combination.
Lee lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Lee misses with a body shot.
A little feinted left hand from XsX on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Lee lands a big right hand that sends XsX crashing to the mat! Lee stays standing though and waves XsX back to his feet!

XsX is rocked!

Lee cracks XsX with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Lee has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning XsX to stand back up!
Oh XsX is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lee throws a monster overhand right that drops XsX! Lee follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brandon Lee!
In his post fight interview, Brandon Lee started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
