The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Hamilton enables Debrine to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hamilton manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Debrine really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hamilton. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hamilton is on top in guard.

Hamilton working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Debrine's head.

Debrine is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hamilton defends well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hamilton is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Debrine is looking for a triangle but Hamilton pushes his legs off easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Debrine looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Hamilton slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Hamilton makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Hamilton connects with a couple of short punches.
Debrine being controlled here, momentarily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Debrine forces Hamilton back against the cage and clinches.
Hamilton could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Debrine misses with a hook from the clinch.
Hamilton wants a takedown but no success here.

Hamilton pulls guard.

Hamilton is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Debrine has his hands clasped together but Hamilton extends and breaks Debrine's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Hamilton.
