The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dimelo tries a head kick but it misses.
Miko Dimelo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dimelo connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

It looks like Baked Ziti Esposito has been cut.
Esposito throws a low kick but it's checked well by Dimelo.

Dimelo gets tackled into the cage by Esposito . Esposito maintains the clinch.
Esposito lands with a light punch inside.
Esposito blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Esposito struggles to land a body shot inside as Dimelo controls his hands.
Dimelo trying to stall but Esposito improves his position.

Esposito lands a hook that snaps the head of Dimelo backwards.
Esposito is trying to push Dimelo away but Dimelo has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Esposito tries to pull guard but Dimelo holds him up against the cage and eventually Esposito drops back down to his feet.

Dimelo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Esposito has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dimelo has managed to get both his arms back between Esposito 's legs - danger averted.

Esposito has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dimelo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
