Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Marco Polo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donnie Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Polo comes to the cage accompanied by On The Floor. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marco Polo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 34 - 25 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Donnie Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Josh West and Jeff Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Polo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jackson slaps away a takedown attempt from Polo, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Polo shoots for a takedown but Jackson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Jackson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marco Polo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Polo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jackson moves away.
Polo has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Polo is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Jackson to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Jackson shrugs it off.

Polo is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Jackson can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Jackson closes the distance and pushes Polo back into the cage.
Polo wants to get back to striking at distance but Jackson won't allow it.

Polo does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Polo dives in for a single leg takedown but Jackson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Jackson unleashes a big counter combination but Polo bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Polo wants to take the fight to the mat but Jackson manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Polo is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Jackson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Polo's guard.

Jackson in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Polo tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Jackson!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Donnie Jackson!
After winning the bout, Donnie Jackson thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
