PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Staph Aureus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyson Drone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Drone comes into a darkened arena with his song building. t.i and ludacris-wish you would kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 34 - 26 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Staph Aureus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 43 - 36 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Tyson Drone!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Colin Fray and Ryoma Takatsuka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aureus misses with a double jab
and Drone counters with a three punch combo that has Aureus backing up. Aureus nods at Drone to acknowledge the strikes.

Aureus shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Drone's guard.

Aureus got a little sloppy there for a moment and Drone has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Aureus has managed to get both his arms back between Drone's legs - danger averted.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Aureus working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Drone's head.

Aureus content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Aureus chips away with some ground and pound.

Drone is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Aureus is aware though and is defending well.
Aureus with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Drone has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Aureus can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Aureus postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Drone is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Aureus connects with a couple of short punches.
Aureus postures up in Drone's guard and throws a big left but Drone blocks it.
Drone is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Aureus is controlling him.
Aureus lands a couple of digs.
Drone tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Aureus drops back, looking for a kneebar! Drone looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Drone looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Drone!

Aureus tries to buck Drone off but Drone is having none of it.

Aureus is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Drone's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Drone! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Aureus has tapped! This one is allllll over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Tyson Drone!
Tyson Drone was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
In defeat, Staph Aureus stepped up to the mic, saying 'You win some you lose some . I'll be back, dont worry about it !'.
