Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Brij Khali (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boros Monet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Monet's choice of entrance music: Downstait - Open Your Eyes. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monet throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Khali half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Monet goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Khali takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Khali avoids the head kick by Monet.
An inside leg kick from Monet misses.
Monet lands a high kick!
Khali takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Khali uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Monet.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Monet has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Monet jabs Khali to the body, keeping him at a distance.
The fighters circling - Monet throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Khali feinted with a counter takedown.
Nice straight punches there by Monet. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Monet.

Boros Monet seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Khali shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Monet as he avoids it easily.
Monet wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Khali scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Monet is controlling Khali's position as best he can from this difficult position.

and Khali counters with a shoot takedown. Monet fights it but they end up in guard.

Khali stands up from Monet's guard - Khali perhaps looking for a knockout.
Khali slips under a jab from Monet.
Khali drops down looking for a counter takedown but Monet sprawls and moves away.
Monet bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Monet misses with an uppercut.
Monet lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Monet misses with a wild body shot.
Khali gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Monet makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

and Khali counters with a nice double leg into side control. Monet won't be happy with that.

Khali decides to stand up, so the ref orders Monet to his feet.

Monet looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Monet. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Khali takes one to the chin there.
Khali takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Boros Monet seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Khali takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Khali fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Monet cracks a nice hook into Khali's ribs.
Monet rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Khali moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Monet lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Khali uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Monet.
Khali attempts a counter takedown but Monet avoids it well and moves away.
Khali doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Monet connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Monet circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Khali drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Monet follows Khali to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

Boros Monet decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
