Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vladimir Penzenskiy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 17 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jenik Krejza!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Vladimir Khabensky and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Penzenskiy drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Krejza manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Penzenskiy has Krejza pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Penzenskiy pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Krejza tumbling to the mat - Penzenskiy dives into Krejza's guard.

Penzenskiy manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Krejza on his heels. He'll look to pass Krejza's guard now, I'm sure.
We've been hearing good reports from Penzenskiy's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Penzenskiy postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Krejza is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Penzenskiy, into his guard.

Penzenskiy is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Krejza pulls his head out easily.

Krejza is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Penzenskiy is just riding it out for now. Krejza eventually gives up the hold.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Krejza tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Penzenskiy.
