The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haverford looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Michaels tries to clinch but Haverford is having none of it.
Haverford has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.


It looks like Tom Haverford has been cut.
Michaels shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Haverford eats them both and turns towards Michaels to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Michaels blocks a leg kick.
Haverford is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Michaels avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Haverford shoots in looking for a takedown. Michaels tries to sprawl out of it but Haverford keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Michaels manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Haverford can't seem to implement his control oriented gameplan at the moment. That's no bad thing of course, for those of us who want to see a good fight.
Michaels comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Michaels takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Haverford on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Sean Michaels is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
No joy there for Michaels, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Michaels scores with a one two! Haverford had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
