The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Francis DeMontford and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dempsey uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gharibi.
Gharibi misses the body punch
and Dempsey counters with a right hand to the body.

and Dempsey cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Gharibi drops Dempsey with a beautiful combination! Dempsey stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Gharibi is looking for the KO!
Dempsey is rocked!
It looks like Joe Dempsey has been cut.
Gharibi lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Dempsey head around and knocks him out cold! Gharibi hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Sajjad Gharibi!
After winning the bout, Sajjad Gharibi thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
