Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mose Hodge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexi Vladaminov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alexi Vladaminov has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mose Hodge!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexi Vladaminov!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Aleksandr Martynov and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vladaminov is looking to clinch.
Hodge leaves Vladaminov with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
And Hodge counters with a quick kick to the body but Vladaminov blocks it.
Vladaminov darts in trying to clinch
and Hodge counters with a two punch combo.
Vladaminov shoots for a takedown but Hodge saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vladaminov throws a hook but Hodge avoids it easily.

Vladaminov moves in looking to clinch but Hodge pushes him off.

Hodge darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Vladaminov has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hodge is working away from the top position though.

Vladaminov has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hodge is working away from the top position though.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Vladaminov tries to bench press Hodge off him but Hodge keeps the position.
Vladaminov misses with a strike from the bottom.

Hodge thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Vladaminov is looking to reverse the position.

Hodge goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Vladaminov rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Hodge's guard! Nice work there by Vladaminov!

Hodge is looking for a triangle but Vladaminov pushes his legs off easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hodge wants to stand and escape but Vladaminov is having none of it.

Vladaminov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hodge tries to avoid it but Vladaminov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hodge to the ground. Hodge escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Hodge went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Vladaminov throws a series of punches but Hodge avoids them all with ease.

Vladaminov isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Hodge stacks Vladaminov on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Hodge!

Hodge tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hodge has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Vladaminov is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Hodge has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Vladaminov takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Hodge gets to mount! Vladaminov was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

Hodge is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Vladaminov to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Vladaminov shrugs it off.

Vladaminov closes the distance and clinches up with Hodge, looking for a takedown. Vladaminov pushes Hodge against the cage but Hodge circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
