The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saunders thuds his shin into the meat of Abarai's side.
Abarai tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
We've been hearing reports that Abarai has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Kip Saunders seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Saunders tried to score with a low kick but Abarai checks it.
Saunders finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Abarai shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Saunders defends it nicely.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Saunders! Abarai is out on his feet! Saunders rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Abarai is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Abarai is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
