Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Con Fidence (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Matthew (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fidence throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Matthew counters with a left and a right that stings Fidence.
Matthew throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Fidence chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Fidence is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Matthew.
Fidence tries to work over Matthew's front leg with a kick but Matthew checks it.
Matthew misses with a hook. Fidence ducked under it nicely.

Matthew has Fidence up against the cage in a clinch.
Fidence is trying to maintain a safe position but Matthew gets an underhook and turns Fidence into the cage.
Fidence stalling in the clinch but Matthew improves position.
Fidence can't seem to implement his control oriented gameplan at the moment. That's no bad thing of course, for those of us who want to see a good fight.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Fidence tries to pull guard but Matthew holds him up against the cage and eventually Fidence drops back down to his feet.

Fidence escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Matthew works the jab nicely.
Matthew looks to land a right hand but Fidence moved out of range.

An uppercut to the body lands inside from Matthew.
Matthew's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Matthew creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Matthew lands a hook that snaps the head of Fidence backwards.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Fidence tries to throw a body punch but Matthew avoids it by throwing Fidence back against the cage.

Fidence manages to break the clinch.
Matthew lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Matthew.

It looks like Con Fidence has been cut.
Fidence fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Matthew has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Matthew unleashes a big counter combination but Fidence bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jack Matthew will probably get the nod.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Matthew throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Fidences head.
Fidence tries to throw a body punch but Matthew avoids it by throwing Fidence back against the cage.
Fidence struggles to land a body shot inside as Matthew controls his hands.

Fidence has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Matthew uses from the top position.

Fidence is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Matthew got a little sloppy there for a moment and Fidence has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Matthew has managed to get both his arms back between Fidence's legs - danger averted.

Fidence working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Matthew doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Matthew manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Fidence quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Matthew has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Fidence celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
