The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Curtis stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Curtis moves into the clinch successfully.
Nikolaas prevents a body shot from Curtis.
Nikolaas wants to take the fight to the mat but Curtis manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Curtis pushes Nikolaas back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Nikolaas drops down looking for an ankle pick but Curtis pulls his leg out and moves away.
Nikolaas displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Curtis throws out the jab.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
