The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abbott throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Trinidy Stewart stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Trinidy Stewart closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Abbott quickly recovers to half guard.

Abbott pushes Trinidy Stewart off and gets back to his feet.

Abbott appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

Abbott manages to get back to half guard.
Abbott is looking to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
