Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Duke Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Weidman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nelson's entrance music is Bombs Away by Whole Wheat Bread. A fine choice. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nelson jabs Weidman to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Nelson digs a good body shot into Weidman's ribs.
Nelson throws a right hand that Weidman ducks under and follows up with a left that Weidman also avoids with ease.

Weidman scores with a sloppy right hand. Nelson should have avoided that one.

It looks like Duke Nelson has been cut.
A punch combination from Nelson misses.
Weidman showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Nelson.
Nelson throws a right and a left that both miss.
Weidman misses the shot to the body.
Weidman lands a really nice looking cross but Nelson seems unphased.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nelson cracks a nice hook into Weidman's ribs.

Nelson lands a nice shot that snaps Weidman's head back.
Nelson misses with a double jab.
Weidman throws out a counter right but Nelson avoids it with no problem.
Weidman throws a nice looking combination but Nelson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Nelson seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Nelson ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Nelson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Weidman moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Nelson stuns Weidman with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Nelson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Nelson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Weidman.
Weidman moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Nelson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Weidman.

Nelson is looking to wear down Weidman with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Nelson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Nelson tries to bum rush Weidman with a series of wild strikes but Weidman uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Nelson connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Weidman thows a left - swing and a miss!
Nelson lands a jab to Weidman's midsection.

Nelson lands a big right hand that sends Weidman crashing to the mat! Nelson stays standing though and waves Weidman back to his feet!

Weidman is rocked!

BOOM! Nelson lands a beautiful left hook that drops Weidman. Weidman tries to recover but Nelson is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Weidman lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
