Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Stanley Messie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arturo Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Messie swings for the body but Diaz moves out of range.
Diaz throws an overhand right that lands on Messie's shoulder, as Messie tries to avoid the shot.
Diaz lands with a cross.

Diaz drives through and clinches with Messie against the cage.
Diaz jumps guard but Messie turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Messie works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Diaz trying to control the position but instead, Messie has worked for underhooks and has pushed Diaz into the cage.
Messie lands a right hand that snaps the head of Diaz backwards.

Diaz is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Diaz tries to work over Messie's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Messie creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Messie pushes Diaz against the cage. Messie is working some dirty boxing. Messie pushes off with a quick right hook! Diaz goes down! Diaz tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Messie moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

Stanley Messie decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
