And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Geronimo Apache!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Chris Edwards and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kannemeyer blocks a head kick by Apache.
Apache cracks Kannemeyer with an open hand slap.
Apache swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Kannemeyer counters with a single leg into guard. Apache didn't expect that.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Apache is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Kannemeyer dives into side control.
Apache is looking to get back to his feet here but Kannemeyer is keeping cool and he's managed to take Apache's back.

Kannemeyer looking to break Apache's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Apache remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Kannemeyer will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Kannemeyer is landing with strikes from the back.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Even with his hooks in, Kannemeyer manages to miss with strikes from the back.
Kannemeyer has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Kannemeyer is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Kannemeyer definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Kannemeyer has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Apache is defending well but eventually Kannemeyer manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Apache has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
