Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Apollo Creed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Xander Machado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Creed kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is James Brown - Living in America. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Creed wants to slow Machado down by chopping away at his legs.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Creed lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Machado has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Machado and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

We've been hearing good reports from Creed's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

My spies in Lucky Liam's MMA Academy inform me that Machado has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

and Creed takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Machado crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Creed - the referee stops the clock and Machado gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Creed. Machado manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Creed tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Machado is rocked!
Creed moves in close and cracks Machado with a massive right hand! Machado, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Creed!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Apollo Creed!
Apollo Creed very nearly forgot to thank Urban Fighter amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
