Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shannon Atkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seiya Omega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Seiya Omega has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Shannon Atkins's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Omega fails with an attempt to clinch.
Atkins is looking to counter with a body kick.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Atkins enables Omega to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Atkins manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Atkins looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Atkins controls Omega momentarily but Omega frees himself.
Omega in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Atkins tries to land a sweep but no joy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Omega thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Omega looking to sit in guard and control but Atkins gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Atkins knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Omega on the ground.
Omega pulls Atkins in to control the position.

Omega is working an open guard so Atkins takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Omega pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Atkins has closed the distance and engaged Omega in a clinch.

Atkins jumps guard and drags Omega to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Atkins really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Omega would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Omega trying to control the position from guard on top but Atkins is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Omega passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Atkins is trying to improve his position.
Atkins is not content to let Omega control the position.
Atkins manages to get back to half guard.
Atkins is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Omega seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Atkins does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Omega looks to land a strike but Atkins avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Atkins tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Atkins thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Atkins keeping moving, preventing Omega from controlling successfully.

Omega gets to his feet. Atkins looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Omega thuds his right hand into Atkins's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Atkins is rocked!

It looks like Shannon Atkins has been cut.
Atkins takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Oh Atkins is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Atkins is breathing heavily.
Omega catches Atkins with a right, a left, a right. It's raining punches and Atkins forgot an umbrella! Another punch and he's down. This one is over!
