The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Di Matteo fails with a takedown attempt.
Lorenzo Di Matteo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kanagawa checks the leg kick.
Kanagawa swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Kanagawa lands a jab to the head.
Di Matteo shoots in looking for a takedown but Kanagawa manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Di Matteo's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
