Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sativa Sensei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andreas Weitzman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sativa Sensei has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Michael Johnstone and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weitzman misses the shot to the body.
Sensei tries for a takedown but Weitzman sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Sensei slaps away a takedown attempt from Weitzman, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Sensei shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Weitzman misses with a straight right.
Sensei throws a big counter combination but Weitzman scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Sensei closes this distance looking for a takedown but Weitzman circles away.

Sensei closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

That was a close round but I would say that Sativa Sensei will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Weitzman tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Sativa Sensei overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Sensei definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Weitzman bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sensei's guard.
Sensei wants to get back to his feet but Weitzman is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Weitzman drops back looking for a leg! Sensei is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sensei manages to kick Weitzman off! Weitzman jumps back into Sensei's guard.

Let's hope that Weitzman has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Sensei closes the distance and clinches up with Weitzman, looking for a takedown. Sensei pushes Weitzman against the cage but Weitzman circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Sensei enables Weitzman to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Sensei manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

I think Weitzman has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
