Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Basty Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nerd Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nerd Diaz will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Diaz finds it's way through Jones's defenses.
Diaz dives in and grabs Jones's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes down on Diaz's head and hops out.
Diaz looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jones is fending him off so far but Diaz persists. Nope, Jones circles away and we're back to standing.
Diaz tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jones was well out of range. Poor timing from Diaz.
Diaz shoots in but no luck this time.
Basty Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nerd Diaz.
Diaz lands a head shot.
Jones stuffs the takedown.

Jones gets the takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones trying to control the action but Diaz is working from the bottom.
Jones is chipping away with strikes.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Diaz tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jones wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Jones scoring with punches and elbows.
Jones lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Diaz is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Jones asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Diaz taking punishment in the form of punches.

Diaz is trying to improve his position.
Jones has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Jones wants to control but Diaz is keeping him busy.
Jones grinds an elbow into Diaz's temple.
Diaz wants to get back to his feet.
Jones controlling the position from side mount.
Jones works to advance to full mount. Diaz defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Diaz is bucking up trying to escape but Jones cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Diaz is desperately trying to improve his position but Jones has a good base and remains in mount.
Jones is landing with some decent strikes but Diaz is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Diaz is rocked!
Oooh a big shot lands for Jones! Diaz is out! The ref dives in to save him from more punishment!
