Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mdog Boo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mdog Boo has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mdog Boo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Scott Allen!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Allen changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Boo looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Allen in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Allen working the head and body with strikes.
Allen trying to control the position but Boo is working away.
Boo wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Allen is looking to take a break and control but Boo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Boo stops Allen from passing to mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Boo is not content to let Allen control the position.
Allen tries to move to full mount but Boo actually manages to regain half guard.
Allen is keen to just control but Boo is a slippery customer.

Allen is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Boo sees it coming and defends easily.
Allen passes into side control, despite Boo's attempt to control the position.

Allen stands up and beckons Boo to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Boo circles away from the clinch attempt
and Boo counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Allen thinking.
Allen moves forwards but Boo connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Boo gets the takedown into side control.
Allen is trying to control Boo's posture but Boo avoids it.
Allen is looking for a sweep.
Allen can't do much from the bottom here.
Allen scores with a shot to the body.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Allen throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Boo gets caught flat footed, as Allen shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Allen wants to pass the guard but Boo is keeping the position.

Boo is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Allen rolls with it to try and escape but Boo cranks on the arm and Allen is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Mdog Boo!
