Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryo Theyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Svyatoslav Vakarchuk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Vakarchuk gets caught flat footed, as Theyer shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Vakarchuk is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Vakarchuk looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Theyer with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Vakarchuk connects with a nice short shot to Theyer's temple.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Vakarchuk working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.
