Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Juan Koski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tamiwe Kamanula (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kamanula is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by LL Cool J - Mama Said Knock You Out. Juan Koski has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Juan Koski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tamiwe Kamanula!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kamanula misses with a low kick.
Koski connects with a solid leg kick.
Kamanula throws a sloppy head kick and Koski moves out of range easily.

Koski drives through with a takedown into guard.
Koski looking to pass the guard.
Koski's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Koski wants to control from the top but Kamanula keeps moving.
Koski stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kamanula swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kamanula wants to get back to his feet but Koski is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Koski is pushing down on Kamanula's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kamanula is fighting to maintain full guard but Koski has managed to sneak the leg through.
Koski lands with a punch from half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kamanula can do anything to dispel that myth.
Kamanula is trying to stand.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Koski seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Kamanula is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Kamanula slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Koski pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kamanula is keeping the position for now.
Koski trying to control but Kamanula is working from the bottom.
Koski stands and throws Kamanula's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Koski cracks Kamanula with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Kamanula is trying to get back to his feet.
Koski wants to control but Kamanula is keeping him busy.

Koski advances nicely into full mount.
Koski tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Koski jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Kamanula is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Kamanula and Koski has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Check out the look on Koski's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Koski has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Koski looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Kamanula is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Koski has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Koski wants to control but Kamanula is keeping him busy.
Koski in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Kamanula really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Koski. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Koski advances to mount.
Koski will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Koski lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Kamanula is in a horrible position here. Koski smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Koski breaks from Kamanula's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Kamanula wants to hold on but Koski pushes him away.
Koski controlling the pace for now.
Koski scoring with strikes but Kamanula is staying in there.


Kamanula is rocked!
Koski unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Kamanula wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Koski celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Juan Koski!
After winning the bout, Juan Koski thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
