Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between The Sun God Ra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James has chosen Tuesday's Gone as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, The Sun God Ra!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 19 - 3, fighting out of Montreal, Tommy James!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Robert Douchet and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Ra back to the cage. James follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.


It looks like The Sun God Ra has been cut.

Ra rushes James and presses him up against the cage.
James on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
James takes a knee to the side of the body.
Ra pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Ra throws an elbow but it's blocked.
James has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Ra is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Ra tries to land knees in the clinch but James avoids the damage to the body.
Ra lands an elbow inside.
James wants a takedown.
James blocks the elbow strike.
Ra lands a nice knee to the body.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

James throws a right hand that Ra ducks under and follows up with a left that Ra also avoids with ease.
Ra rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but James moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

James takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
James walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Ra is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by James.

James throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Ra on the side of the head.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ra, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A determined The Sun God Ra didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
