Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 34 - 23 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Christopher Binse!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 43 - 24 - 1, fighting out of London, Suren Nazarethyan!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nazarethyan on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.


It looks like Suren Nazarethyan has been cut.
Binse lands with a kick to the temple. Nazarethyan shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Binse falls off balance throwing a combination

and Nazarethyan decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Binse's guard.
Nazarethyan is standing up over Binse. Binse looks to escape but Nazarethyan dives into side control.


Nazarethyan decides to stand up, so the ref orders Binse to his feet.
Binse takes a swing at Nazarethyan's ribcage but misses.

Binse misses with a looping left.
Binse pulls out of a head kick attempt.
The fighters circling - Binse throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Nazarethyan takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Binse is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Nazarethyan.
Binse swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Nazarethyan changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Binse definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

so Nazarethyan counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Nazarethyan decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Binse, up you get!
Binse throws a hook to the side of Nazarethyan's head but Nazarethyan sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Binse looks to throw the jab but Nazarethyan is out of range.
Nazarethyan changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Binse moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

That was a close round but I would say that Christopher Binse will probably get the nod.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Nazarethyan chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Binse can pounce on him.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Christopher Binse.
I think Binse has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
