Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mustafa Wagdy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chase Schuldt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chase Schuldt will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wagdy darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Schuldt is defending against the submission attempts here by Wagdy.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Schuldt tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Wagdy paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Schuldt shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Wagdy shoots for a takedown but Schuldt saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Schuldt feints and then cracks Wagdy's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Wagdy down.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Schuldt stuffs the takedown attempt from Wagdy. Wagdy gets slowly back to his feet.

Schuldt moves into range and clinches up with Wagdy.
Wagdy changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Schuldt fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Schuldt darts in and clinches Wagdy up against the cage.
Wagdy is trying to pull guard but Schuldt turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Schuldt pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Schuldt stops Wagdy from passing to mount.

Wagdy is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Schuldt is trying to escape and Wagdy transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Schuldt is forced to tap! Nice work there by Wagdy! Very nice indeed!
