The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
West jabs at Ramos's body.
West connects with a nice looking jab.
West just misses with a punch to the body.
West lands a head kick. Ramos smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Ramos connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
West jabs Ramos to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Ramos scores with a punch to the head.
West tries a head kick but it misses.
West fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Ramos has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
West displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ramos throws out the jab.
West jabs Ramos right on the nose. Ramos blinks but takes it well.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
West lands a nice leg kick that just misses Ramos's sensitive parts.
West is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ramos.
A solid leg kick lands there for West.
West pivots, looking for a leg kick but Ramos is out of range and West settles back down.

Ramos creates a bit of distance and cracks West with a big uppercut! West goes down! The referee pushes Ramos away into a neutral corner and starts the count. 4,5,6,7. Will West make it up in time? He's still flopping around all over the place! The referee has called off the fight! Ramos takes it!
