Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Teodoro Pollard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jason Devinson!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Chad Campbell and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pollard circles away from the clinch attempt.
Pollard is looking for a counter combo.
Devinson misses with an uppercut. Pollard saw that one coming.
A combination from Pollard does no damage.
The fight stays on the outside here - Devinson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Devinson throws a left and a right that both miss
and Pollard counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Devinson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Pollard.
Pollard misses with a series of wild punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Devinson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Pollard as he avoids it easily.
Devinson shoots in but Pollard avoids the takedown attempt easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pollard uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Devinson.

Pollard shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Devinson is trying to defend but Pollard finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Pollard prevents Devinson from improving his position.

Pollard is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Devinson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Pollard is working away from the top position though.
Devinson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Pollard's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Pollard's back!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Devinson lands shots from the back.
Pollard is trying to break free.
Pollard trying to control the position but Devinson manages to sink in the hooks.

Devinson is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Pollard with him. Pollard is trying to defend but Devinson has an arm under the chin now! Pollard grimaces and is forced to tap out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jason Devinson!
