The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking cross lands there for Schjerfbeck.
A jab lands there for Schjerfbeck.
Aadolf Schjerfbeck seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zak rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Schjerfbeck moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Zak gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Schjerfbeck wants to break the clinch but can't.

Zak's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Zak shoots in but Schjerfbeck avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Schjerfbeck cracks the inside of Zak's front leg.
Zak throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Schjerfbeck's waist but Schjerfbeck gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Zak off to one side.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Schjerfbeck tries to bum rush Zak with a series of wild strikes but Zak uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Zak is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
