Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Lowe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodrigo Barrera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Barrera has managed to clinch.
Lowe has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Barrera is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Barrera breaks the clinch.

Barrera changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lowe looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Lowe explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

Barrera closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Lowe quickly recovers to half guard.

Lowe manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Barrera keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Barrera gets control of Lowe's arms and successfully pulls guard. Barrera will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Barrera is trying to keep Lowe in close.
Lowe throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Barrera works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Barrera is looking to stand up but Lowe isn't so interested in that idea.

Lowe working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Barrera wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Barrera really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lowe. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lowe accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Barrera has momentary wrist control but Lowe slips an elbow through the middle.
Lowe postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Lowe slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Lowe scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Lowe is working Barrera over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Barrera looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Lowe has picked Barrera up and slammed him! Barrera can't keep hold of the triangle and Lowe manages to pass to side control!
Barrera tries to bench press Lowe off him but Lowe keeps the position.

Barrera tries to stand but Lowe controls the position and pulls Barrera into his guard.

Lowe has his feet on Barrera's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Barrera looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Lowe moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Lowe pushes Barrera off and gets back to his feet.

Barrera throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Lowe tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Barrera is in Lowe's guard.

Barrera throws a sloppy strike and Lowe has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Barrera is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Lowe!
