Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Reynaldo De Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abel Popham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). De Souza has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Abel Popham has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Reynaldo De Souza's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Reynaldo De Souza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut there from Popham.
It looks like Reynaldo De Souza has been cut.
Popham misses with a takedown attempt - De Souza sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Popham stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Popham wants it to stay on the feet.
Popham drives through and clinches with De Souza against the cage.
De Souza jumps guard but Popham stands there with De Souza around his waist. De Souza gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
De Souza stalling in the clinch but Popham improves position.
De Souza is breathing heavily.
Popham breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Popham pushes De Souza up against the cage in a clinch.
Popham pulls guard.
De Souza will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Popham manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. De Souza manages to get himself to full guard.
De Souza wants to control but Popham passes easily into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
De Souza is staying active underneath Popham, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Popham tries to control but De Souza wriggling away.

Popham might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control De Souza haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

De Souza knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Popham on the ground.

Popham throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Popham lands a big shot to the head and De Souza winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
