Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Wagner Zegers and Paul Aken.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Charles or perhaps it was just good defense by MCmuffin, which made it look bad.

MCmuffin shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Charles's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Charles is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and MCmuffin defends well.

MCmuffin drops back, looking for a kneebar! Charles looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Charles looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Charles!

Charles looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
You can see the frustration on MCmuffin's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
MCmuffin keeps Charles under control for a moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Charles stands up and we're back to a striking position.
MCmuffin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and MCmuffin wants it to stay on the feet.
MCmuffin swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

MCmuffin lands a big uppercut and Charles crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Charles looks OK. MCmuffin waves Charles back to his feet!

Charles is rocked!

It looks like Giovanni Charles has been cut.
MCmuffin closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Charles out cold! Charles corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
