Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Max Gamble (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pierre Le Carre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Max Gamble!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Pierre Le Carre!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Peter Branson and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gamble has a takedown stuffed.
Le Carre is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Gamble closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Gamble is looking for a takedown.
Le Carre tries to score a body lock takedown but Gamble shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Gamble is trying to drag Le Carre to the mat but Le Carre just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Max Gamble. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gamble's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Le Carre has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Gamble is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Gamble shoots in looking for a takedown. Le Carre tries to sprawl out of it but Gamble keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Le Carre manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Gamble tries to score a power double leg takedown but Le Carre sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gamble somewhat.

Le Carre throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Gamble sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Le Carre will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Gamble shoots in looking for a takedown. Le Carre tries to sprawl out of it but Gamble keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Le Carre manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Gamble fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Le Carre avoids it really well and circles away.

Gamble will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Le Carre throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Le Carre closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Le Carre lands in his opponent's guard.
Gamble is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Le Carre dives into side control.

Le Carre creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Le Carre content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Let's hope that Le Carre has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Gamble on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Gamble tries to get out of the position.
Gamble has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Gamble tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Gamble wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Le Carre scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Nice sprawl there from Le Carre as Gamble shoots in.
Gamble takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Gamble gets caught napping as Le Carre dives in and scores a takedown. Gamble manages to retain guard.
Gamble is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Le Carre is controlling him.
Le Carre throws a big elbow that misses.
Le Carre has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Gamble is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Le Carre in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Gamble utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gamble can't keep his opponent in guard - Le Carre advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Le Carre is taking a breather. Gamble says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Le Carre landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Oh Gamble is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Gamble seems to have got his legs back now.
Le Carre thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Gamble knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Le Carre on the ground.
Le Carre lands a big elbow - Gamble is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Le Carre!
